Albion Kids Show's Soft Play Project has no dedicated worker at present, but the equipment is used regularly on other sessions when requested and sufficient playworkers are budgetted for.:

The SOFT PLAY unit consists of large soft play equipment, including a ball pool, a large inflated mattress, steps, waves, wedges and tunnel. Set out indoors in a hall, or in our Marquee, it forms an environment up to 8.5 metres x 5.5metres. It is particularly suitable for children with disabilities and under fours.
At present it is deliverable to site packed into a compact covered trailer.
We are currently working on a new Soft Play Trailer that is more user friendly.

INCLUSION PLAY

Albion Kids Show are currently providing sessions for children with and without disabilities playing together. These are being funded by Hackney Children's Fund.

All our equipment and structures are set up with the children's safety in mind, and activities are always supervised by our playworkers.    The links below are to photos.......80-180kB!

• SOFT PLAY. for children with disabilities and/or under fours . This trailer carries large soft play equipment, including a ball pool, a large inflated mattress, steps and tunnel. For indoor and outdoor use.
• The MINI -TOP: A large, billowing, tent-like structure made from a cargo parachute. Visually exciting, but not waterproof, it creates a sheltered space for accessible activities. For outdoor use.
• The MARQUEE for outdoor use on grass or hard surface. This is a large, brightly-coloured tent which provides a sheltered space for Arts & Crafts, Games, Juggling etc.
• ARTS & CRAFTS Paint, paper, scissors and glue, modroc, clay etc. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Messy
• PUPPET SHOW  We can devise a puppet show for you, or the children can devise their own - or both - using our Puppet Booth. Mainly glove puppets. For indoor and outdoor use.
• FACE PAINTING  Non-allergenic face paints. These can be loaned to members for replacement cost.
• CIRCUS SKILLS Stilts, uni-cycles and juggling equipment. Mainly for outdoor  use.
• PARACHUTES Large and small parachutes for co-operative games. Best used outdoors or in a large hall. These can be borrowed when we are not using them ourselves.
• GAMES  Large beach-balls, mats and hoops, skipping ropes, uni hockey and co-operative games,
• MUSIC Built in sound system on the Blue Lorry, or the Fish Lorry outdoors and a portable sound system which can be combined with the other unit. There is also a small collection of percussion instruments.
• UNDER-FIVES PLAYBOX A compact, wooden unit providing physical play for small children. Can be borrowed. For indoor and outdoor use.
• BICYCLE MAINTENANCE 3 bicycle stands,3 bicycle tool kits,3 stirrup pumps...more to come!
  

Subject to funding, Albion Kids Show organises Play Schemes during Half-terms, Easter and Summer school holidays. We determine how many additional sessional playworkers are required.

Our holiday play sessions are usually Monday to Friday at 12 noon-4 p.m. (not including Bank Holidays).

Additionally we take one-off bookings during these times for festivals, TA events etc. these may be on a bank holiday, or a weekend.

Days included as part of other Boroughs' playschemes are charged at a full commercial rate which helps to support the rest of the annual programme. 

Playscheme events are localised, usually to one housing estate and only advertised in the immediate area as it is sometimes inappropriate to attract visitors from another estate. Albion Kids Show's playworkers are sensitive to cultural and religious issues.
